Farjana

Afroj

Farjana is from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her B.S in Chemistry from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, where she worked on eco-friendly synthesis of some complicated chalcones and their conversion into flavones for antimicrobial screening. Later she attained her M.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh where she worked under Professor Andrew Lawrence focusing on developing ligands for stereoretentive-enantioconvergent reactions. Farjana joined the Bloom lab in 2022 and is currently engaged in synthesizing DNA Encoded Library (DEL) via dehydroalanine (Dha) modification.
